      To Book your course

'Born Again' courses are based at the Cooper Reading BMW dealership, 'Advanced'-level courses are usually on road, and instructors cover the area of West Berkshire, North Hampshire, South Oxfordshire, and Wiltshire.  If you live outside of this area, contact us to discuss your requirements, we may be able to help or suggest alternatives.

BiKe magazine, Aug. 97, suggested asking several questions when choosing your advanced training:

Check the training offered. Recent test trainees need more 'basic' tuition, more experienced riders need more 'advanced' lessons.

The 'Born Again' course concentrates on building confidence and competence, and for riders returning to motorcycling is a gentle reintroduction to motorcycling.
The 'Advanced Day' session works at your pace, with content based mainly on the Police 'Roadcraft' advanced riding manual.

Check the mileage covered during the day. Covering huge mileages and trying to learn advanced techniques isn't easy.
Born Again courses are mainly off road, with a short ride of approx. 1 hour if time allows.
Advanced Day
riding sessions will depend on your abilities and requirements.

The instructor to pupil ratio should ideally be two or one-to-one.  More and you struggle to learn.

ALL training sessions are usually at 1:1, sometimes 2:1, and occasionally 1:2 (that's two instructors to one trainee!)

Check the balance of the lesson. Is it practical on-road lessons or mixed with classroom lessons? There should be a balance.
'Advanced Day' session include theory notes e-mailed to you prior to the course. This includes 'Roadcraft' study guide (with emphasis on hazard perception, observation techniques, positioning, cornering, machine dynamics and overtaking), question papers and briefing sheets.
